Zweig is an avid educator. Garnering his early music education in the public school system, he vowed early on to teach as much as he performs. He is dedicated to helping young musicians become performers and also extend his passion for music from around the world to all students. Ben has directed after-school percussion programs, private lessons and middle and high school music classes, taught Djembe drum courses and camp music electives, early childhood education, and masterclasses touring across the country and abroad. One of his proudest moments teaching is when 5 of his students were selected for the prestigious Jazz at Lincoln Center Middle and High School Jazz Academy.

Ben currently maintains a private drum lesson studio in Ridgewood, NY, also teaching weekly at the Q Studiolab in Sunnyside, Queens. He has taught masterclasses for jazz and general music departments at: University of Central Florida, Florida Gulf Coast University, Concordia University, Vanderbilt University, Furman University, Mount Holyoke Community College, University of Tampa, Sonoma State University, College of Charleston, Mount Saint Joseph (OH), British International School of Charlotte, Oklahoma City Community College, and St. Bernard’s K-12 (NYC).
